We have stayed at this hotel many times before departing from George Bush airport. The hotel has deteriorated over time. In our recent stay, condensation from the air conditioner leaked on to the carpet. In the bathroom, wallpaper was peeling away from walls at many locations. They used to have acceptable and recognizable food at their social hour and breakfast. Not any more. We will no longer stay here.

I made a reservation with this hotel on July 6, 2023 for September 1, 2023-September 4, 2023. We had 4 other families make reservations at the same time as this was a friends trip. On September 1, 2023 myself and another group that went with us received a call notifying us that the rooms we booked (A king suite) were no longer available. However, one of our friends who booked the same room several hours after us was able to secure her room. The front desk clerk who phoned me notified me that she would downgrade me to a single queen room. I explained that this was not going to work as I was also traveling with my husband and two children, which I put 4 people in my reservation. Showing no remorse I was told I could cancel. This was not an option as I had already traveled 4 of the 5 hours to get to this hotel and finding a hotel Labor Day weekend would be near impossible. Once arriving a new clerk was now on duty and was able to give us a queen bed with a sleeper sofa. My husband being 6’8” was too long for the queen bed, which is why we booked and paid for a king. The room was not clean, there were bugs in the bathroom. The drywall on the ceiling was falling in around the light in the shower. The air conditioner would reset around midnight to “auto” mode and setting the temperature to be around 80. The room had no privacy curtains to the outside so they had to come out some up so those in the parking lot could not see inside our room. I found it to be extremely unprofessional to take rooms away that we had booked, however, having had someone we KNOW booked several hours after us get the same exact room. The night manager stated that there are only 9 king rooms in the whole hotel and they book out a year in advance, which is some how unbelievable. We love Staybridge hotels and will usually choose one over any other, but this experience has completely changed our outlook.

Terrible place, Staying here in Staybridge Suites Houston IAH - Beltway 8 for last 11 nights. Most of the staff at front desk are unexperienced people. They don't understand the difference between blocking money on credit card vs charging the credit card. Manager is not available most of the time. No one at front desk is even knows when he comes. Manager does not read emails. Email provided on their website is just a ornament which is not to be used but provided for display. Had sent me 2 emails which went unanswered. During my stay here Cranberry juice got over and not available for 3 days. Keys of the hotel room do not work perfectly. Had to get the key re-configured for last 3 nights each night. It was working fine before that for 8 nights. Front desk can be seen without anyone many times. Today when my key was not working, had to stay at the front desk for more than 8 minutes just to wait that someone will come and help me out. While my friend was calling on operator number all these 8 minutes from his suite. Then Mr Williams arrive only to tell me he cannot stay at the front desk all the time as he had some other work assigned. He has been rude. Other staff atleast have been courteous. Will not recommend anyone this place for stay.

Clean, quiet, good breakfast, friendly staff, and I would recommend this hotel to family and friends. Enjoyable stay. Easy Uber pickup and dropoff. Easy to get to Minute Maid Park and the The Cynthia Woods Mitchel Pavilion in the Woodlands.

Great stay pre-cruise!

We stayed one night pre-cruise. The shuttle arrived quickly to the airport to pick us up. Check in was a breeze and Anakaren was extremely pleasant and helpful. She greeted us with a smile and a good ole Texas welcome!! Anthony was helpful as well and provided us with some complimentary toiletries for the night. The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of items. The lady who was working at the breakfast area was very hard working. The suite was clean and bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay again!
